On the first of July 2017 two very adventurous gentlemen will embark on a truly British adventure. Armed with only the kit on their backs, the stiffest of upper lips and rudimentary navigation skills, the duo will set forth from John O’Groats and travel through Scotland, England and Wales until reaching their final destination of Lands End on or before the thirty first of July. That’s thirty one days to cover over a thousand miles, give or take the occasional map-reading blunder. Apparently not feeling at all that they had bitten of enough, this pair will also summit the highest peak each of the three countries they’ll cross has to offer. The mighty Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Mount Snowdon in Wales.
Why, might you ask, would they do such a thing? Well, partly out of the gonzo spirit which drives people to do the things they’ve never done before but more importantly in support of two amazing charities. Each of the runners have chosen a cause to support. Learn about Adam Kimble’s charity here and Kris King’s here.
The wonderful people at Extrac have given the duo a GPS tracker; click the link above to follow their little dot on the map as it meanders around Britain.
At the bottom of this page you’ll get daily updates from Kris and Kimble’s facebook pages. You can use those and the social media links at the top of the page to follow their journey and send them encouragement.
Tally ho and toodle pip folks. A Great British Adventure is about to begin!
